John Geffel, Managing Partner
John founded VALUE:driven Group after 27 years at one of the software industry’s leading vertical-market software companies, Timberline Corporation, that was acquired by Sage in 2003. John’s particular expertise is in market development, product management, product marketing and strategic planning. He has been directly responsible for successfully introducing many industry-leading products and services over these years and most recently served as General Manager for the business.
John’s primary focus at VALUE:driven is on the FACTS:assess and FACTS:target areas as well as providing oversight and account management for all of the company’s engagements through it’s consulting alliance partners. John also leads the mentor/coaching program for the Oregon Entrepreneur’s Network.
John has a BS in Business Administration and an MBA from Portland State University.
Bill Etheredge, Partner
Bill has a consistent 32 year track record of proven transferable skills in executive global sales and marketing management in both SMB and Enterprise high growth technology sectors. Responsibilities included developing and enabling product definition and go to market sales and channel strategies with a primary focus on aggressive, profitable revenue and market share growth. Successful implementation included market segmentation definition and appropriate development of sales models, processes and management disciplines Challenges ranged from the development of market and channel strategies for private early stage companies to the major revamping of strategies for under performing Fortune 500’s, including seven successful turnaround/restructuring assignments.
Bill’s primary focus at VALUE:driven Group is in the FACTS:deliver and FACTS:sustain areas where he helps the company implement the value delivery strategy developed through the FACTS:assess and the FACTS:target processes. Bill also engages as a volunteer in multiple local business organizations including the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN) and the Oregon Technology Business Center (OTBC), among many others.
Bill has a B.A. in Business Administration from Westminster College and an MBA from Bowling Green State University.
Toby Lucich, Partner
Toby has been aiding business leaders in managing performance monitoring practices, organizational change, process compliance and performance improvement, and analytical challenges for over 15 years. Toby leverages his experience in business analysis and process performance management to get organizations focused on the most critical components of their business model, helping evaluate and guide conversations through strategic risks diagnostics and performance metric development. His work has spanned a range of industries, including energy, healthcare, insurance, telecommunications, manufacturing, construction, and governmental agencies.
Toby’s primary focus at VALUE:driven Group is in the FACTS:develop and FACTS:sustain areas where he helps the company implement the value delivery strategy developed through the FACTS:assess and the FACTS:target processes.
Toby has a BA in Business Administration from Boise State University, and an MBA from Washington State University. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
Miki Tokola, Partner
Miki brings over 30 years of high-tech product management and marketing experience to the VALUE:driven Group's team. Miki’s particular expertise is in aligning and balancing a company’s products and programs to capitalize on the opportunities in its chosen markets and to fulfill the company’s strategy. Miki has defined and led the marketing/product management organizations at three companies and has managed products with total revenues of over $500 million.
Miki’s primary focus areas at VALUE:driven Group are the FACTS:develop and FACTS:promote areas where he helps the company implement the value delivery strategy developed through the FACTS:assess and the FACTS:target processes. He is also the President of the Oregon Chapter of the Product Development and Management Association.
Miki has a B.S. Electrical Engineering (Cum Laude), a B.S. Psychology and an MBA from the University of Washington.
Jim Allen, Partner
Jim has over thirty years experience with technology-related companies. He’s served as the CEO/President and VP of Sales/Marketing of four software/services companies where he’s designed and deployed predictable and measurable sales and marketing processes while recruiting, training and managing high performance direct and indirect sales teams.
Jim is the author of Value Based Selling – A Software Sales Methodology, Value(s) Based Leadership and the co-author of Personalize: A Buying & Selling Style Profile Guidewith Mels Carbonell, PhD. Jim’s clients include the IBM Software University, Intuit, Exact/Macola (Now Microsoft), Sage Software, software subsidiaries of GE and 3M, and many small and midsize software/services companies.

Daniel Zollenberg, Partner
At LogicBox, Daniel is responsible for product vision and overseeing all aspects of LogicBox solutions and technical services. Prior to LogicBox, Daniel spent almost a decade as a strategic technology consultant for a variety of high-profile businesses and start-ups. Daniel was also the Director of Software Engineering for SageCircle, a technology provider of Analyst Relations software for Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Oracle, HP and IBM. At SageCircle Daniel was responsible for overseeing the architecture, design and development of their marquee product line. Prior to his leadership role with SageCirlce, Daniel was the Chief Technical Officer for Mywebpal, the third largest provider of online newspaper content management and publishing systems.
